Terrascope 2.00C Final Showcase: Mining, Altered Landscapes, Art and Engagement

You are warmly invited to "Mining, Altered Landscapes, Art and Engagement," an exhibit showcase for the Terrascope subject "Design for Complex Environmental Issues." Students in the Terrascope first-year learning community, together with partner students from Diné College (Navajo Nation) and the University of Puerto Rico at Ponce, have developed prototype exhibit elements for consideration by the Nevada Museum of Art; their proposals are designed to increase visitors' engagement with artworks depicting mining and altered landscapes in Nevada.
The exhibit opening will be on Monday, May 5, 7-10 P.M. in MIT Lobby 13 (behind 105 Massachusetts Avenue). Refreshments will be served.
