Matthew and Eric Gilbertson are MIT alumni who, after completing their PhDs in mechanical engineering, started a lifelong quest to summit every country's highest point. They have already summitted the highest mountains of every state and 149 countries. In the past year alone, they tackled Columbia, Turkey, Angola, and Suriname.
