Join us for an evening celebrating gardens, green spaces, and all things locally grown! After Dark is a monthly adults-only, after-hours event at the museum. Full of science and surprises, expect demonstrations, tastings, conversation and more.

Featured activities:

  • At 7 pm, hear from MIT Professor Kate Brown, as she shares surprising stories of gardeners who turned vacant lots, scraps, and overlooked spaces into thriving places of beauty, nourishment, and community.
  • Explore local ecosystems and growing challenges through demonstrations and hands-on activities by Massachusetts Horticultural Society and Green Cambridge.
  • Discover how waste can fuel your garden with Maria Hottelet and We Capture Carbon.
  • Get your hands dirty (in a good way!) in our Maker Hub and make your own seed bomb with native wildflower seeds.

Check out a pop-up shop by Riffhaus, a fashion lab founded by artist, technologist, and MIT Media Lab alum Sandra Ferguson.

Wine and specialty beverages from Nashoba Valley Winery and Distillery and small bites from Viet Citron will be available for purchase.

Sets all night long with DJ Philip Tan.
