Learn how to apply the 12 Principles of Green Chemistry/DOZN to design chemical processes and select greener chemical alternatives

Green Chemistry is the design of chemical products or processes that either reduce or eliminate the use or generation of hazardous substances. Consider waste and hazard prevention during design, rather than disposing, treating and handling waste after a processor material has been developed.

Speakers: Wei Lee Leong, Officer, EHS - Industrial Hygiene Program (IHP), Ashley Lechlider and Ettigounder (Samy) Ponnusamy from Millipore Sigma

This seminar is part of the Safe & Sustainable Labs (S2L) - Earth Month Seminar Series. S2L is an initiative to promote a safe and sustainable research environment to align with MIT’s Climate Action Plan. A partnership between Environment, Health & Safety Office, Department of Facilities, Office of Sustainability, Office of Vice President for Finance, and DLCs.
