Please join us for a discussion with Molly Smith Morris, senior vice president at Equinor U.S., who will speak on The next generation of integrated power businesses, drawing on more than twenty years of experience across renewable energy, oil and gas, and trading. As the leader of Empire Wind and Equinor’s power business in the United States, Morris brings a unique perspective on how global energy companies are adapting to electrification, growing renewable penetration, and the increasing need for reliable and affordable energy. Her remarks will explore how Equinor is growing their oil and gas business into a broad energy company, navigating a rapidly changing external landscape and integrating its businesses to build a resilient energy system for the future.

How are global energy companies adapting to a world characterized by rapid electrification, increasing renewable penetration, growing demand from data centers and industry, and heightened needs around reliability and affordability? This talk will examine the strategic shifts energy companies are making to deliver reliable, efficient, and scalable energy supply.

About the speaker

Molly Smith Morris, senior vice president at Equinor U.S., leads Empire Wind and represents Equinor’s power business in the United States. Morris joined Equinor in 2008 and has over twenty years’ experience working across various sectors of the industry, including renewable energy, refining, oil and gas downstream marketing, and trading industries.

Between 2008 and 2022, Morris held several leadership positions within Equinor, including senior advisor for U.S. Wind, senior vice president of crude, products, and liquids, vice president of products and liquids trading, and multiple trading management positions.

Before joining Equinor, Morris worked for Sunoco, Inc. holding several positions within the refining and commercial sectors. Morris also serves on the Board of American Clean Power and holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering degree from Villanova University
