Overview: The world is undergoing an industrial revolution in which materials, medicines, food, and fuels are increasingly being produced by biological organisms. This transition will eliminate our dependence on fossil fuels, reduce pollution of our water and air, and preserve the environment. This seminar series will present opportunities and challenges in this industrial revolution, incorporating speakers from academia, industry, and government sectors covering topics in scientific discovery, commercialization, and policy.
