Get ready for fresh, local veggies: We're launching our first summer CSA program
Building on the momentum of our fall Fresh Food Bag program, MIT Farm, MITOS, and MIT Anthropology are piloting our first-ever 10-week Summer CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) program at MIT in partnership with the New Entry Sustainable Farming Project. With support from the UA and GSC, this program brings fresh, affordable vegetables directly to campus.
What's a CSA?
For those new to the concept, a CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture - it's a partnership where community members buy a share of a farm’s harvest in advance. This model provides farmers with essential upfront income, and in return, members receive a regular supply of fresh produce.
MIT/New Entry 10-Week Farm Share Details
- Dates: June 17 – August 19, 2026
- Pick-Up: Wednesdays at MIT Health (E23) and the Religious Activities Center (W11)
- Regular/MIT Employee Share: $425 ($42.50 per week)
- MIT Student Share (discounted): $250 ($25.00 per week)

A Zero-Waste Initiative
We are striving to make this a zero-waste CSA. To achieve this, we are using reusable totes for all pickups and ensuring that any surplus vegetables are donated.
