The Future of Climate Policy

As the impacts of climate change continue to grow it is imperative that government and individuals take steps to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions. Massachusetts is at the forefront of this necessary climate action, with the opportunity to lead the nation in implementing carbon pricing legislation.

Experts across the political spectrum agree that putting a fee on carbon pollution is the most cost-effective and feasible way to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, incentivizing a flexible shift toward clean energy. Right now, two bills (by Barret and Benson) moving through the Massachusetts state legislature could bring carbon pricing to our state. Come join us to learn more about these bills, as well as the implications of carbon pricing on our environment and economy!
