The Green Room is an informal gathering of working groups and student groups working on sustainability-related activities, including campus energy and environment projects. The Forbes Cafe allows groups to work separately on their own agendas while being in the same space to facilitate cross talk and collaboration.
The idea for a Green Room was born from a discussion after the Re-Generator, in which needs were identified for common working space, more opportunities for collaborative work than the punctuated Generator events, and a recognition that a movement is building on campus that will need active cultivation and the development of some common branding and language.
The Undergraduate Association committee on Sustainability will hold their regular weekly meetings in the Green Room, and members of the Generator coalition organizing team will be there as well. All student groups working on issues related to sustainability, energy, and the environment are welcome to join us.
